* We have focused on promoting a specific type of cat for our adoption spread in our Winter Issue. All the cats you see in the adoption section are either older animals or have special needs. Take a second to look at them, read their stories and also make a mental note that these animals have been at the shelters a lot longer than most kittens. Some have been there for months or even years. Older cats, and ones with special needs, have just the same amount of love to offer as a kitten and would just adore to have one more shot at living the purrfect life with you.

My name is Trey and I am about six years old. I have no litterbox issues, lots of personality and only 3 legs! I am able to climb tall cat trees, rub against your legs for attention and tackle my friend Trisha while we are playing. I would love to be someone's one and only. I am also open to sharing you with other kitties if you like. Either way is ok with with me, I just need to find a forever home. I would love to settle down and have a place in your heart. Please give me a chance at life-long happiness as a part of your family.

My name is Tigger and I am nine years old. My family surrendered me to my vet’s office because they were moving and wouldn’t take me along. I could not find a home and I was scheduled to be euthanized until a shelter group came and saved me. I have no front claws and I’m a bit chubby, well more than a bit, I’m 23 pounds! I now reside with several other cats and I spend a lot of time hiding from humans. I could really use a nice calm home where I can learn to trust humans again. I hope that you’re home is quiet and I could come live with you!

My name is Sammy and I am a three year old handsome male kitty. I’m a sweet and playful cat. I was adopted by a family with 2 small children. However, the household was a bit too chaotic and the children taunted me, with no adult supervision. As a result, I want to be an only kitty. I like to run the cat house and I really need an independent owner that can identify with me. Please provide a forever environment where I can be worshiped as the proud feline I am.

My name is Logan and I have an identical twin sister named Hunter. We are eight months old and have silky black fur. We were taken in by the sheleter when we were still on bottles. We’ve been here ever since. Since we were found at such a young age, we’re used to all types of animals and people. But since we are black kitties and we’re a bit older compared to the little kittens up for adoption, it’s been very hard for us to find a home. I don’t want to be seperated from my sister…will you open your doors to us both?

My name is Chloe and I am three years old. I am a female, Calico Tabby Mix. I have been declawed in the front only. I was originally rescued at five weeks old. I was adopted when I was only four 4 months. Sadly, I was returned nine months ago because my owner passed away. I am a sweet girl who would enjoy someone who had a quiet household where I can be queen-bee. I love to get massages and I am still quite playful.

My name is Dosty. I am a seven year old spayed female. I’ve been at the shelter for quite some time now and still haven’t found a home. It seems people pass me by because I am older and I’m on the heavy side. That shouldn’t stop you from giving me a chance because I am full of love and energy.  I like to relax and cuddle too! Please come to the shelter and take me home.

I’m not a fancy purebred and I’ve never won a blue ribbon; I’m just a simple black cat that is looking for a home. My name is Baby, ID# 303327, and I lost my home after eight years because my family was moving and couldn’t take me along. I get along with people of all ages and I also get along with other dogs and cats. I’m hope you’ll consider adopting a mature feline, as we have lots of love to share.

My name is Troy. I am four and a half years old and I’ve been at the shelter since March of last year. I am an exquisite and royal cat with a short tail. I sport a super glossy black coat accented with a touch of white on my chest, as if I was wearing a tuxedo. I have a royal attitude, too. I’m definitely not a lap cat, but ready to spend some quality time with people who adore me. Please give me a chance. I would sure like to spend my time with you!

Hi, my name is Smokey and I'm almost two years old. I'm a gorgeous silver tiger tabby that could use her own entourage. I'm not very clingy and not too fond of cuddling. I may when the time is right though. Maybe I don't get attached quickly, like most cats do, because of how my last owner treated me. I was found stuffed in a cardboard box in a veterinarian's parking lot! It was very traumatic so now I'm a bit quiet...but I'm still playful. I just need someone to bring out my soft side.

My name is Tigress. Even though I am an 11 year old lady, I was surrendered because my owners moved to a new place with new furniture and no place for me and my friend Mr Biggles. Mr Biggles went home already, probably because he was only half my age..... I am still waiting for my forever people. I just love gentle affection and a person who understands that I need just a little bit of time to get used to my new happy home. Please come and let me be your lady of leisure soon.
